Position Overview
The Guidewire Consultant plays an integral role in building a holistic view and roadmap of the company’s Guidewire strategy, processes, and assets. They will work with business partners, both leadership and subject matter experts, to develop, optimize and oversee conceptual and logical systems to provide recommendations on and strengthen the impact of business information to be available and shared consistently across the organization via the identification, definition and analysis of technical requirements in support of business strategies and desired outcomes.
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
- Utilize experience in Insurance industry (P&C), to help build sound software solutions.
- Utilize knowledge of SDLC (Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
- Create technical requirements by leveraging the appropriate tools and techniques utilizing strong analytical skills.
- Analyze System and Technical & Functional specifications.
- Facilitate Joint Application Design (JAD) Sessions with business users and development team to develop requirements documentation.
- Work across Guidewire BillingCenter version 9 and/or 10
- Create source to target mapping documents for data migration projects, utilizing P&C Insurance technical & functional knowledge
- Create reporting query specifications utilizing understanding of Guidewire’s Data Mart data model and business requirements.
- Collaborate with business users, understanding business requirements and to provide direction relating to Guidewire based solutions.
- Collaborate with Developers and QA, to clarify systems capabilities and resolve issues.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum process including stand ups, sprint planning, backlog, etc.
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, tracking, and budgeting as needed.
- Assist in various stages including development, testing, and production support.
- Participate in system testing, data validation, defect triage and work arounds.

- 4-5 Years of Guidewire BillingCenter experience
